For this I have spent my full Sunday for this and searched good videos relating to maths, counting, numbers and addition properties and all of them I have collected 10 Videos and set it in one web page. Because all of you are my fans and friends, so please show it to your children who are in preschool and it will be best e-learning for them. You will also like and love it.

Actually accounting field is deep related with mathematics and for becoming good accountant, it is the first condition that your mathematical skill must be good and fine. Simple procedure of VAT calculations and recording and printing of VAT form in tally 9

VAT means Value added Tax and its detail is fully mention in A White Paper On State-Level Value Added Tax under Ministry of Finance . It has 23 pages and If you want to understand the system of accounting of VAT , you should learn these white papers thoroughly and deeply , after this you will understand that it is just Indirect tax and if you are already paying any service tax , it is most related with service tax because both are indirect taxs and you can easily treat it .

If I want to tell you about VAT in Simple words , then read my simple Words

"There are three bodies in VAT . One is Govt. , second is buyer and third is seller . buyers buys the goods and include some value and then it sell to other customers . It means every buyer is also seller and every seller is also buyer upto good reaching to final customer . So , because is VAT is orginally sale tax and it must be on the amount which is added by any seller to sell it to other customers . Suppose , if I have buyer any goods at 300 Rs. include VAT , I will sell it at Rs. 400 . What amount , I should pay to Govt. if VAT is 4% on these commodities

400 X 4/100 = 16 RS.

But I have allready paid Rs. 12 when I buy same goods , so this input VAT will deduct and

Now my responsibility is just to pay to Govt. Rs. 16- Rs. 12 = Rs. 4

Because . I have just add value RS. 100 in input before selling product . I think this system is most simple and almost every country is using this system , India has started it from
April 1, 2005 .


Understand Scientific System use in Tally 9 for recording of VAT

Tally 9 software makes a very scientific system for recording of VAT .

In tally you will first activate this feature in separte statutory feature F11 option . For this you will write in the front of Enable Value added tax . you will also write in the front of set / Alter VAT , afte this you will go to a new section , that is called VAT detail after writing it , you also mention your tax payer identification no. (TIN ) in VAT TIN ( Regular ) and accept this form


Create Input VAT ledger Account under Duties and Taxes and fix its Rate . Then Credit Output VAT ledger Account and its rate , after this also create purchase , sale and debtor and creditor account .


Create the ledger of Stock items in Inventory info.


Now pass the voucher entry of Purchase , in this voucher when you mention the net amount of purchase and write it in it after this again a black box open and you have to write input VAT and this tally shows the rate , you have to calculate the VAT on total amount and write here and after this accept it and and it can be also print form by going to day book.

Now pass the voucher entry of sale in sale voucher , in this voucher when you mention the net amount of sale and write it in it after this again a black box open and you have to write output VAT and this tally shows the rate , you have to calculate the VAT on total amount and write here and after this accept it and and it can be also print form by going to day book.

Tally will automatically shows the net amount of VAT which , you have paid ,

In picture , I have purchased 10 computer from RAM and sell them and to RAJU with VAT input and with VAT output and Now tally tells me my net payable amount to Govt . that is 12500 and it will automatically shows in balance sheet in tally 9 which I have specially checked before write this article . Believe me !

Now when you will pay the NET VAT payable to Govt . at this time , create a new ledger account with name of net vat payable account under duties and taxes and next select VAT and pass the voucher entry in payment voucher , just write Net VAT payable account and write the net amount which , you seen in above VAT Computation in tally VAT report and you can also print its VAT Form 16 and when you will see the balance sheet , it shows that you have paid your current liability of NET Value of VAT .

Before learning creating of multiple ledger in tally 9 , we should understand what are main benefits of creating multiple ledger in tally .



There are three benefits of creating multiple ledger in tally 9 which can be explain in following way :-


  1. With multiple ledger creation , you can make all ledger accounts fastly.

  2. Tally 9 also provides the facility of multiple ledger alter and display . With these button , you can check whether , you have made correct ledger account or not , if not you can change any ledger account by just first eye mistake in tally multiple ledger alteration.

  3. you can also enable to fast create ledger account in specific group , suppose , you have to pass 20000 voucher entries of different debtors in tally 9 , you can easily create 20000 debtors with their personal names in multiple ledger creation and it will surely save your time in specific group ledger creation

  1. When you open tally 9 and and in selected company , you go to account info , here you will see a button and its name is ledger , now , you only do one this , please click it and then click on create in multiple ledgers

  2. Now tally asks in which group you have to create ledger , if you create all ledger account then select all items , if you have to create ledgers under specific group , then please press the word on keyboard , suppose , you have to create different ledger accounts under sundry debtors , now press s , you will see the group sundry debtors in right side now , you will ready to create different ledger accounts of debtors .

  3. If any account has any balance , then you can mention it in opening balance .

4. If you have to display specific group's all ledger accounts , then you can also follow the following procedure

account info >> ledger >> multiple ledger >> display>> write name in above black box and
then enter
For example , you want to see all creditor's ledger account
then you will write in black box sundry creditors and then after pressing enter , you will find all your made creditors in multiple ledger display.

Solution of cost center problem of Infrastructural Company

I have a problem regarding tally . Sir, my company is an infrastructural company and having work of construction of apartments, commercial buildings. Sir, I'm handling the accounts of the company and the problem is that there are 4 sites working in separate areas and the problem is that the bills are of steel, Rodi & there is distribution in these items also like jeera rodi, 1/2 rodi etc. The thing is how can i allocate the expenses of each site separately & also get to know that how much particular Rodi or steel had been used in that particular sites. I had opened cost centres also but the thing is he ask on bank charges also in which site the charges can transfer. It's too difficult to maintain the stock plz sir give suggestion how to maintain proper stock.

From your question , I seem that you are not understanding Tally's system of maintaining cost center properly . Same problems are facing many other accountants and if you try to understand the system of maintaining cost center in tally . The solution becomes more easy specially for your construction company's expenses allocation . Now , I explain it easy way :-

you said me that you have four site

site A

site B

site C

site D


and your stock items for construction of building are

1. small stones
2. simat
3. steel
4. sand

etc.

Now for recording these items in proper site , you have to activate cost center in feature F11

, after this you have to make above sites create in cost center under primary cost category . After this , you have to create unit measurement and stock items above four like simat , small Stone etc . After this you have to create ledger accounts relating to your transactions like bank , sale and purchase accounts etc.

Now , you are ready for passing entries . When you will pass the voucher entry , suppose , if you buy , and when you pass the voucher entry in purchase in purchase voucher then tally opens new pop up window for inventory allocation . In this window , you will fill the form by writing the items and its value which you are purchasing and after this when you enter again a new pop up window will open and you have to write cost category as prime and and write those cost center for this you have bought stock and enter it after this fulfil the for of voucher entry of purchase . It will surely charge expenses on respected cost center means your respected site and , you will enable to get report and also print it by print command .

Solution of accounting problem of talk time mobile business

I have mobile shop purchasing “talk time” from mobile operator and selling it to shopkeepers. Mobile operator provides me “commission” as one case stated in your website.
There is no coupon business it is “talk time &validity “Only.
I have invested around Rs 40000/- out of which 15000 is for deposit and rest is for purchase of inventory (i.e. talk time).
i issue talk time on telephonic request to shopkeepers. And my staff collect cash from these shop keepers on daily basis.

I need your guidance
Regarding how to make entry for
1) capital invested.
2) Cash traction between me and operator, me and shop keepers
3) Inventory (talk time ) traction between me and operator, me and shop keepers

1. When you have started your business , suppose only you have invested 40,000

the pass the following entry

It means 40000 , you have total invested in your business , now 40000 in bank is only for business purpose and its earning is your income vie bank interest or vie commission if you have invest in your productive work .

When you purchase talk time , it means it is just purchasing for you because you are dealing it and with in one you have to sell it .

How can delete parent Group in tally?

In tally 9, you have facility to make unlimited parent and Children groups . Without deleting Children group, you can not delete parent group. Because In all children groups are under that parent group. But, I have an idea which I want to share with you. You can delete your parent group in tally if you alter its children group to its above rank parent group.
Understand this idea with a very simple example.


Suppose, you are working in MNC as accountant . Its main work is to sell their products at international level and it is using tally 9 to track the debtors and creditors and other transactions . So, tally has given only one group Sundry debtor ( automatic ) and you have made groups with following way according to your work at international level .

Country → Primary Group

India → Sundry debtor

USA → Sundry debtor

UK → Sundry debtor



Now Company has also made Children groups under this parent Groups

Children Group → Parent Group

UP → India
Maharashtra → India

Gujarat → India

It is also benefit that a children group will become parent group for next children group

Children group → Parent Group

Kanpur → UP

Lukhnow → UP

Agra → Up

Mumbai → Maharashtra

Pune → Maharashtra


Suppose you have to delete one parent company Maharashtra because , your company’s sale in Maharashtra state is approximately nil but , you can not delete it because you have already made two sub group as Children group , now according to my idea , you have alter children group with following way


Children group → Parent group

Mumbai → India


group  alteration  in tally 9



Pune → India


Now, there is no children group under parent group Maharashtra. Now, you can delete Parent Group Maharashtra. From time to time, you can adjust your group according to your business’s movement.

Solution of tax problems on the commission of mobile coupon selling

I am satisfied with your answer of my query

but i sill have a question that is as under :

Q:-

the dealer of the mobile services companies do not make a bill with vat but they deduct the services tax from the amount of the recharge coupon then calculate the commission .

e.g. i have purchased the recharge coupon of BSNL M.R.P. of 55 Rs. qty. 100Nos then they billing as under :

mrp. 55 * 100 = 5500

- *commission @ 3% = 148

bill amount to pay dealer = 5352(commission = 5500 - 10.36% s.t = 4930 * 3% comm. = 148 rs.) in this case we sell the recharge coupon at the M.R.P. and our profit commission of Rs. 148. so, if we treat our account as under : sales amount - purchase amount = our profit and we just pay the income tax ? or other rules of tax not liable for us?

Ans :-

Ok, I understood It means the nature of there business is to provide service so , Because service tax and VAT are indirect tax and your tax Burden will transfer to your customer .

e.g. i have purchased the recharge coupon of BSNL M.R.P. of 55 Rs. qty. 100 Nos. then they billing as under :
mrp. 55 * 100 = 5500

Bill amount to pay dealer = 5352

5500 @3 % = 165

Because you have sell each coupon at RS. 55

Purchase price + Service tax + your commission

47.82 + 5.698 + 1.48 = RS. 55

So, you need not pay service tax because your company have already paid service tax but , you have to include it in your total income and have to pay income tax and you have to also pay VAT on all other product’s sale .

Financial crisis is an accounting term and there are many reasons of financial crisis.

If any banks whose amount are taken by its depositors hugely, at this time bank has incapable to pay cash to his customers because bank also invests their money in other financial market and there is risk factor is also involve in it. So, bank captured in this crisis and it is
ended by banks bankruptcy.

You can also see financial crises situation in currency market . Some time value of currency is devalued by market fluctuations and speculative investors .

Suppose , 1 USA Dollar Currency Value is equal to Rs. 50 but due to speculative activity in currency market and if value of dollar is decreased means 1 dollar = Rs. 3 , then this will be very dangerous position for USA and it will say financial crisis of currency market . and its other name is international financial crises . 1st reason – Mistake in Expectations and forcaste ( forecast )

 
We know that finance’s flow is always in financial market and investors are main factors of financial market. But before invest money every investor can not guess the other investors, what they will do after this . Every good and bad expectations can change market situation . Suppose , if any country’s investor things that his currency will rise , then they invest more , after more investment in that currency , they withdraw more from bank but when they withdraw fund from bank , bank also thinks that depositors are withdrawing their money and more and more negative expectation gives him brain to do mistake , either bank can take loan on high rate for paying customers but they capture in this vicious circle of financial crises because more they take loan for paying customer in emergency , they reach near to bankruptcy.

2. Invest or borrow other country’s currency

Accounting crisis , it means if accounting shows assets are less than company’s liability at this time , it is no right to any bank to do trade . This is also known as accounting mismatch .

3. Lack of human farsightedness

It is the nature of human being that he is not farsighted means if he does not think about future with logic and scientific way of estimation , he can surely Butt in financial crises .

4. Govt. 's bad regulation on financial market

If govt. become corrupt , and make bad regulation regarding financial market , at that time , market of financial can face the problem of financial crisis .

5. Frauds and scams in financial market

It is also the nature of human being that he can commit frauds . When a person bears on the earth he is pure but due to the dirty environment , there are large numbers of evils absorb in human being and after this he wants to earn more and more money by cheating and fraud because in financial market , there are huge amount is of common person like me and you in the form of shares but few cheaters want to get our all money through frauds and scams . For this , they can also use creative accounting tricks and all burden will on company and in last company declare himself insolvent or bankrupt . Because , company is nothing , he is just live in the eye of law but it is just association of people me and you and harmful root is also following



6. Vicious Circle of all above factors



It means , if govt will corrupt , it will encourage other factors as default , means other people will also become cheaters and commit fraud . This is called vicious circle and it is very dangerous because , if financial market's one factor is weak and responsible for financial crisis , then all factors also get support from this factor and become weak , just like HIV/ AIDS disease .

So , please understand these roots and try to remove from initial point for making country strong and free from financial crisis.

  • Go to balance sheet or profit and loss menu of tally.

  • Click above language button , and choose your regional language.

but I have still facing the problem about accounting and tax rule of retail mobile shop in which the translation are as under :

*** purchase the recharge coupon & mobile easy recharge balance with commission

*** sale the recharge coupon & mobile easy recharge balance with mrp.


so ,in this case , what the rules and regulation are affected in the account of this type of business. also says about the tax rules .and vat is applicable or not ?

I think that you are operating your self -employed shop which comes under sole trade . I also think that you are operating tally software .

Because recharge coupon is your business stock , so you will deal it simply current assets .

first of all , you have to make stock item and stock measurement , I think also that you purchase it on per piece basis . Then pass the following journal entry .

Purchase account ( under Purchase account ) Dr.

Bank Account ( Under bank Account )Cr.

If you have keep tally in single mode then , you need not pass above entry , just click purchase voucher and take account type bank and fill , your item not only recharge coupon but also , if you have purchase any mobile of different companies , that can also write here and , accept purchase voucher in tally 9 .

I think , you have obtained commission when , you sell it to customer , then it can be showed as your income and pass the voucher entry of receiving amount in receipt voucher . If you sell easy recharge coupon and you have earned money it will also pass voucher entry of sale in single mode .

or if you want to double entry mode then

Tax treatment of Mobile Shop business


income tax

Income tax is one sole trade is your personal expense , so it will not show in your business record , if you have taken any money from business for paying income tax it will be your drawing and you will capital of business will be reduce with same amount

Here is the income tax rate slab and according to this , you have to pay your income tax .

Taxable income slab (Rs.) Rate (%)

Up to 1,50,000 Up to 1,80,000 (for women)Up to 2,25,000 (for resident individual of 65 years or above) → NIL



1,50,001 - 3,00,000 → 10 %



3,00,001 - 5,00,000 → 20 %



5,00,001 upwards → 30%


*A surcharge of 10 per cent of the total tax liability is applicable where the total income exceeds Rs 1,000,000.


Note: Education cess is applicable @ 3 per cent on income tax, inclusive of surcharge if there is any.


VAT


VAT is on sale of recharge coupon is 4 % . In law , it is duty of businessman who sells these card , have to pay VAT 4 % but , you can get credit or you can deduct the amount of VAT which is included when you bought these recharge coupons .

Suppose , you are retailer and buy recharge coupon at Rs. 300 with VAT Rs. 12

Now , if you sell it at Rs. 400 include VAT Rs. 16 , then you will deposit VAT to Govt

= Output VAT - Input VAT = Rs. 16 - Rs. 12 = Rs. 4


Service Tax

There is no service tax , because you are not providing any service .

Comparison of Google Docs and Ms. Excel

Ms. Excel is used by Accountants in daily life and main aim is to record different list of buyers , sellers , investors and other making of graphs and moreover for calculations like interest , depreciation and discounts .

All these facilities are also available in Google Docs but if we compare Google Docs and Ms. Excel we find following differences :-



1st Difference

Ms. Excel is very useful tool of making data base in off line , you can make millions of list of your creditors and debtors and payrolls but , if you are working all time online then Google Docs are very useful tool for recording all above data and it will automatically saved in your google account , so you need not save after some time . In case cut off light , you will again recover your all recorded but not saved data in Google Docs but it is not possible in Ms. Excel


2nd Difference

Google Docs provide the facility of collaboration . It means when you feed any data in google docs , it will read other your senior C.A. in real time . Suppose , you are making payroll lists on Google Docs , your boss can also see and check your work in real time or same time what are you doing . There is no need to check through same office , your boss may check your performance from any other city , state or even other country . Even this collaboration of Google docs facilities are using for taking interview in several countries .






But if you feed data in ms. excel and want to share with other , you need to send it vie e-mail , which is very time consuming and boring but collaboration of Google docs is so simple and after second to second , you can see other person's activity on Google Docs excel sheet . I can say it is just like chat room of excel .

3rd Difference

Google Docs are very useful for showing online Data base . I am publishing all my online visitors profiles free of cost just help with Google Docs . This facility is also used by large scale companies for publishing their accounting data online and it is also part of the duty of accountants






But , the facility is not possible in Ms. Excel.


4th Difference

Google Docs can also be utilized for making flash presentation , I have making many educational and accounting presentation with google docs that are very attractive and helpful for online teaching . But Ms. excel has no such facility .





5th Difference

Privacy point of view Ms. excel is more safe than Google docs because , if you are working any share computer then if you are log in with remember me , then other person can see your all confidential reports and opens your secrete data but , if you are making ms excel and protect it with your password , it will not open without your permission . But , if you did not log in with remember me , then same facility of privacy can also get from Google docs .
