SAP accounting software is one of best in the list of accounting software. It is ERP database and SAP company is working in more than 130 country for providing his services. In SAP, you can record the transactions, correct the mistake in real time and track financial data in different ways. So, it is very necessary that every accounting profession should learn this accounting software.
1st Step : Learn to Record Transaction in SAP
If you have to pass the journal entries in SAP accounting software, you have to just go inside by writing your user id and password and ok. In the SAP manu, you have to choose accounting folder out of other ERP functions of SAP. In accounting menu, you have to choose financial accounting. Now, choose general ledger. Then choose posting. In posting, select "enter G/L account documents." Now, you see journal entry screen. Now, you have to pass the journal entry by writing document date, posting date, short text and select debit and credit account and fill the amount. 2nd Step : Learn Inventory Management in SAP Accounting Software
For inventory management in SAP, we have to record the data relating to our inventory. First, we have to record item master data. In this, we record each items's detail. For example, we have recorded IBM printer detail in it.
3rd Step : Learn Sales Order Management in SAP Accounting Software
Just open SAP and go to its Sales A/R (area). There are lots of submenu in it which you can use.
a) Sales Quotation
First of all you have to give sales quotation for your customer. You can create it in SAP. You can print it and email to your future customer.
b) Sales Order
If customer will accept your sales order. You need not enter again. Just copy to option in the last of your sales quotation and your data of sales quotation will transfer to sales order. You have to add this in SAP database.
c) Delivery
d) Return
e) Account Receivables (A/R) Invoice
Now, you can copy sales order to A/R invoice. A pop up of A/R will open in which you will same data as you had seen in sales order. Now, print this and send to your customer. Now, it will automatically record in your ledger. When your customer will pay, you have to copy to payment and payment entry will pass automatically.
f) A/R Invoice + Payment
g) A/R Credit memo
h) A/R Reserve Invoice
i) Document Generation Wizard
j) Document draft
k) Sales Reports
You can all sales report in this menu.
4th Step : Purchasing Order Management in SAP Accounting Software
In SAP, purchase order management will be same as sales order management. Following are its main menus which you can use for filling purchasing data. Entries will be automatically done or you can pass manually.
a) Purchase Quotation
b) Purchase Order
c) Goods Receipt PO
d) Goods return
e)A/P Down payment invoice
f) A/P Invoice
g) A/P Credit Memo
h) A/P Reserve Invoice

In price list, we can create, update or change the price. We can also set the discount for specific period. In the inventory transaction, you can pass the journal entries relating to receipt and issue of inventory. You can also record the transfer of inventory in this menu.
